Vision:To serve as the primary financial institution of Episcopalians.
A Message from Bishop Smith:
Dear Friends in Christ,
There is an old misconception that the “church is always asking for money.” Well, here is an opportunity for the church to actually pay you!
By partnering with the established and well capitalized credit union of the United Methodists, Episcopal Federal Credit Union has been able to offer our members full service banking, interest rates above those of banks, and personalized service. We have also extended personal loans to nearly 100 Episcopalians and will be financing building projects of several of our congregations. The Episcopal Federal Credit Union has been a win-win venture for all. Each new member enrolled during a congregational membership drive results in $20 for your local church!
We have progressed far enough in our first few months of operation to now have a goal of adding a full time Episcopal employee at the Credit Union office in Phoenix who will not only visit congregations, but also be available to answer your personal banking questions.
If you have not already done so, I would ask you to consider:
1. Joining the Credit Union. The down-loadable application form can be found at our website www.episcopalfcu.org, and don’t forget that $20 contribution to your local church, when you enroll during a membership drive at your church!
2. Make sure your church is also a member and encourage them to deposit at least part of their savings with the credit union. Those funds are fully insured by the government and the interest rate on all accounts is higher than at the bank.
3. Make use of the checking, savings, and ATM cards that can be available to you when you join.
The mission statement of the Episcopal Federal Credit Union is to work for the economic well-being of all its members. We make that goal a reality through your participation!
