Mission Statement: To enhance the financial lives of our members.
Vision:To serve as the primary financial institution of Episcopalians.
A Message from Bishop Smith:
Dear Friends in Christ,
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it will begin to ridicule him, saying ‘This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.’” –Luke 14:28-30
Being able to financially take care of ourselves, our families, and our church is an important part of our Christian life. From paying for the everyday necessities like food, water and shelter, to the unexpected costs of medical care or building repairs, it is important to manage our finances wisely.
The Episcopal Federal Credit Union (Episcopal FCU) was established in 2009 as a division of the United Methodist Federal Credit Union. The Episcopal FCU strives to enhance the financial lives of our churches and congregation members by offering members full service banking, dividends above those of banks, and personalized service. It also extends personal loans at low rates and has assisted several congregations with building projects.
Many new services have been added since its inception. Through its relationship with United Methodist FCU and participation with CU Service Centers, we now have the luxury to conveniently complete transactions at thousands of locations throughout the USA! The CO-OP network of ATMs and self-service centers offer access to member accounts from more than 30,000 fee free locations. In addition, home banking and free online bill pay are available 24/7, and mobile banking for members is offered through iPhone and Android applications. Banking with Episcopal FCU/United Methodist FCU is easy and convenient!
If you have not already done so, I would ask you to consider:
- Joining the Episcopal FCU. Click here to download the application form.
- Ask your church to become a member and encourage them to deposit at least part of their savings with the credit union. Those funds are fully insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), and the dividend rate on all accounts may be higher than at the bank.
- Make use of the checking, savings, ATM and debit cards, as well as IRAs and Share Certificates that can be available to you when you join.
- Consider the Episcopal FCU when seeking a loan for a vehicle, personal needs, Home Equity Line of Credit, or just consolidating current debt. VISA© cards are also available, and the rates are low and very competitive.
The mission statement of the Episcopal FCU and the United Methodist FCU is to enhance the financial lives of our members. That goal becomes a reality through your membership!
